Dear Sharon, Tory & T.J.There is not a day goes by that you are not in our thoughts and prayers. Sharon, God Bless you for gathering the strength to go see Lucy dance..I know it was hard!! As grandparents, we feel blessed that you are a part of both Lucy’s and Emma’s life. With Love, Vickie and Lou Arrigenna
Dear Torey: We know how difficult this day is going to be for you. No father should have to celebrate father’s day without his little girl. We just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and we hope you have a pleasant day with TJ. Our love is with you, Sharon, TJ and forever Jacquie. Love, Athena, Alan, Adriana and Stephanie
I haven’t been on this site for quite sometime (even though I do think about Jacquie every single day), so I came back here today just because I was missing her very much today and I know her 24th birthday was recently. It’s so unbelievable how this incredible person really impacted so many people – I still think about Jacquie and continue to think about her every day. That shows that she was someone incredibly special. The updates on this site are so heartfelt and beautiful, and I just want to say that although I have never met you guys, I can tell from this site alone (and all of the upcoming events, etc) that the Hirsch family is unbelievably strong and an inspiration to us all. Keep hanging in there – you’re inspiring more people than you even realize 🙂
Hi Hirsch’sIt was so great to see you at Bowers’s wedding. I could feel Jacquie beside all day. I know it was hard for you to be there but we all love getting the chance to see you and give you both hugs. Keep hanging in there:)Brace
We miss you soooo much Jax! You would be so proud of your family! They are doing everything they can to make sure someday no other family will have to go through what you did! I know you are so proud! I know I am. You are in every thought every day!!! Kiss Kiss!!!!
What an awesome gymnastics program today. Thank you for all that you do. Sharon, it was nice talking with you today. Thank you for including our family in your prayers. Your family remains in ours every day.
I just wanted to let you guys know that I am always sending love and strength to your family… you are incredible, and Jax’s legacy is continuing to grow.I’m currently working as a children’s therapist, and I have the “tink” picture of Jax in my office… all of my kids always look at her and say how beautiful and happy she looks. I tell them she is and what a wonderful person she continues to be =)-Pinchoff
See Jacquie, somethings never change…Michael is giving my dad the credit for the computer thing but it was me that told my dad what Michael needed to do since I am the one with a Mac.! Everyone misses you so much and the things your family are doing are just incredible. Watch over your dad extra Sunday because I imagine it will be an extra tough day. Your dad has always been amazing and still is. Love and strength to all of you. Sara
im back!!!!hurray for computer people that know how to set things up….thanks dadi will start to fill all of you in on the ups and downs of arizona soon…just wanted you to know ive always been around just not on the computer…peace to the hirches
Sharon, Torey, TJ and Jax, I have not written in quite some time, but believe me, that does not mean that I have not been constantly thinking about all of you each and every day. Every place I go I am reminded of Jacquie and the gifts that she shared with all of us. Every night when I go out for my run, I pass a number of “eeks!” that dad has deposited on the road for me, and with each one that I pass, I glance up at the sky and send Jax a thank you. We are approaching a year since I had the honor of introducing my dad to Jacquie. Each day I think about how he was only able to see her a few times but in those short meetings, Jax made such a huge impact on his life. She is in everything that we do each and every day. Sharon, Jax will never ever leave you because she is in every thought, in every motion, and in every word that you and that we all speak. Always sending my love and prayers. God bless, Casey
Dear Hircsh family, The main purpose for this note is to see how you are doing. Now that summer is coming, I know that it is probably hard for you guys to begin a summer with out Jax. I wonder each and every day, how you can even get through a day…but it is because all three of you have a strength that I have never seen. You are thankful for what you have, and you try to live each day as best as you can. I am sure you have your good days and bad, but the fact that their are good days, is so amazing to me. I think about you all every single day, and pray too. -Natalie M. PS. If this is Sharon reading this, could you tell Torey that my fax machine is broken and I was not able to get the information about the TinkerBall, thank you 🙂
Good Morning! I think I could let the intro to the website play on my computer every minute and never get sick of it! I picked up the posters and tinkball information/handouts yesterday and they are wondeful. I can’t wait to start hanging them up all around town!! Sharon, you said you worry that Jacquie would be disappointed in a decision you might make…I want you to know that would never be possible!! Jacquie was and is so proud of you, she loves you so much! She could never be disappointed in anything that you do…even if you said you would never eat Mighty again she wouldn’t be upset! You are doing an amazing job carrying on her legacy! I know with my whole heart she is proud of you!! xoxoxoxoxox Ashley
Hirsch Family, As a member of the blue wave and close friend of so many people that shared their love for Jacquie, I write to you today to let you know that Jacquie continues to inspire so many. Although there are so many difficult days, I hope to bring you a little joy, knowing that Jacquie’s story lived on this past Sunday in Lake Tahoe, CA. My sister Brittany and her team in training rode in honor of Jacquie, completing a 100 mile bike ride, all the while wearing “we believe” wristbands, and carrying Jacquie in their hearts. My sister called to tell me how amazing the ride was and that all together team in training raised over 6 million dollars for the fight against cancer! Jacquie is loved and missed by so many, and because of her so many more believe <3 Always believing,Sierra
Jax!! I had this ridiculous dream about you. You called me up and I missed the call, and so you sent me about 5 texts rapid fire and tried calling again…to tell me that you had tickets to a Barry Manilow concert…and you wanted me to go with you. I woke up and actually said out loud, “….Barry Manilow?!!”Thanks for the laugh. :)PS we went and we made a poster board sign for the concert and everything. It was outrageous. Missing you!Hirsches…your Jacquie gives me perspective every day. She is my guiding light & North Star!! You are always in my thoughts…. <3
Hi Jacquie, Sharon, Torey and TJ, Michael wanted to let you all know he did eat the orange sherbet last night but avoided the mixed vegetables…said he thinks some of the vegeys gave up by the look at the mush mix. He is anxiously awaiting the meatloaf and thinking of the Hirsch 4 so strongly, especially Jacquie. Take care of you. Hugs and love, Sara
Jax, As the time goes on, it’s still hard to cope with the fact that this is a reality and not just a dream. I miss you tons and will always wonder why you were taken from us. Why couldn’t you just stay with us? But then I think about how you have taught so many people so much in so little time… You had a gift, Jax, a gift that not even cancer could take… Love you and miss you always… To the Hirsch family– Sending thoughts and hope every single day
I am so sorry I didn’t write on your birthday my dear friend. I was in Barcelona with no internet or computer access. But please don’t think that just because I didn’t write, or bc I am in a far away place doing new and exciting things, that my mind was far from you. quite the contrary. everything i did, everything i saw, reminded me of you. and i keep on seeing Campanilla (Tinkberbell) EVERYWHERE. i know you are always with me, no matter where i go. i have to go now, i am leaving for the weekend. i miss you and love you so much. in my heart & on my mind 24/7. always always always <3 alicia <3 xoxo p.s. sharon, i am always taking the utmost care to make sure i am completely safe and i never go anywhere alone here, just like i promised you i wouldn’t.
Hi Jacquie, Missing your beautiful smile, although I see it in my eyes when I think of you. Just missing you, thinking of you, caring about your mom, dad and TJ, always. Love, Sara
happy belated jax…i’m sorry that i didn’t get to write on here on your actual birthday, but that doesnt mean i wasnt celebrating! :)all of the old gbgc gymnasts got together on your bday night… we made a toast to you at dinner, and had a blast together in honor of you. i know you were there in spirit, because i could feel your tinkerbell magic. i miss you and i love you sweetie, and i so wish that you were here.
Good Morning!!! Saturday night I know Jax was smiling down at all of us at libation station as we took our Soco and Lime shots (we probably took to many but hey it was a celebration). My favorite part of the night, besides the tink stickers we all got, was looking around and seeing how many people came out to celebrate Jacquie’s life. Everyday I feel lucky and honored to have been one of Jacquie’s best friends. I hope knowing that you raised such an amazing daughter who will always be loved by so many helps you get through the most difficult of days. I so wish she was here physically to have celebrated with us and you, but I know she was with all of us that day giving us hugs and laughs and love and hope from above! I love you! Keep Believing, Ashley
Saturday morning as I walked by Jacquie’s field, on Robinson Road, I noticed that for the first time in the 20 years of my running or (now) walking past them, nothing was planted on either side of the road. There are no plants of any kind coming out of the ground. It takes quite a while to move past them, so as I walked, I thought how appropriate that without Jacquie here, the earth lies barren. It seemed to me a very simple and straight forward rationalization, too simple. It wasn’t until today that I realized the true message that Jax was teaching me. It wasn’t a signal of gloom or despair but instead one telling me that there is much work to be done, I’m not finished yet. I got it Jax. TJ, Sharon, and Torey, Thinking of you Always, Jax – Believing Forever.
She had the gift of stopping time and listening well,so that it was easy to hear who we could become and that was the future she held safe for each of us in her great heart you may ask, what now? and I hope you understand when we speak softly among ourselves and do not answer just yet for our future is no longer the same without her. this is a poem from one of my favorite artists and it is usually in the masculine voice but i don’t think he’d mind in this case. i miss you so much. and i’m so sad you were not here to see your birthday, and without you all of our futures are going to be different and not as full.i love you, -samm
Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself. Before you can move their tears, your own must flow. To convince them, you must yourself believe. Jacquie, Sharon, Torey and T.J. – you are an inspiration to us all. No matter how many days have passed or the number of tears we’ve cried, you remind everyone what it is to be a family. Your words and updates keep us connected to Jacquie and I feel so blessed to know someone as incredible as her. Jacquie, I have so many memories of us from Paris that never fail to make me laugh. You were there with me on my 21st birthday and I will never forget it. Even though turning 21 in France doesn’t mean anything over there — because they can drink when they’re like 7 — you still made that night special for me. There’s a picture of the two of us from that night on my bedroom wall and it’s one of my favorites from our entire trip. I want you to know I was thinking of you today for your birthday with amazing memories of how extraordinary you are. Happy Birthday Jacquie.
Jax, Even though I am exactly one week older than you….you have for sure taught me things waaaay beyond your (and my) years. 24 years old and your legacy is being lived through each and every person you have touched along the way. We are lucky to have sunshine, smiles, and laughter on this day – and I know we are all appreciating it more becuase of you. You have brought so much joy and light to all our lives – we can’t begin to imagine what the years to come will bring. Happy Birthday Tink….I am eating a hot dog for you tonight. All my love, Nick Nack Sharon, Torey & TJ…..keep spreading the love that Jacquie gives you every day. I am in NYC with Danielle we have Jax on our minds everywhere we go. So much love from US to YOU…. Nicole & Danielle
How we miss you Jax, I am sending my birthday wishes to you with all the love in my heart. You are constantly letting us know in your special little ways that you are still with us and taking care of all of us. We love and Miss you so Much!
Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. I like this quote, I hope you do too 🙂 Happy belated birthday Jax, forever and always believing. -Natalie M.
Jacquie, Happy Birthday to the most wonderful person I know! I miss you girlfriend. I want to make a donation to Jacquie for A.L.L. for your 24th Birthday and continue to try to make the rest of my 24th year something that you would believe in. I believe in you always Jax!<3 Marietta
jax, today my mom and i both went to try and donate blood at roswell. we’ve never done it before but thought today would be the perfect day to start. we’ll we both got turned down bc our iron was too low, i made a new appointment for next weekend. love you and miss you always happy birthday beautiful girl. <3 Whit
Happy Birthday beautiful girl. I see you everywhere I look and it brings me great joy. Be sure to send your mom and dad and brother extra signs today to let them know you are okay. Forever missing you, Casey
I know today will seem impossible… just know that we are all thinking of you and holding you in our hearts. Miss Jacquie… I will be Fighting cancer all night tonight at the Fairport Relay for Life. There is nothing I would rather be doing today than fighting cancer in your honor. Actually that’s not true I’d rather be celebrating your birthday with you at the huge bash that we all planned on for you this year. It isn’t fair that it didn’t get to happen the way we all believed it would. We all miss you so much and so badly wish you were here to celebrate today. We will keep fighting for you always. Birthdays are meant to be celebrated and you certainly knew how to celebrate. We will fight on in the hopes that one day we can celebrate a cure. Love you Jax. <3 Sadie
Happy Birthday, my precious Angel! The girls and I had a birthday toast to you at midnight last night – your favorite, soco and lime! I know you know how much you’re loved and missed, but today is especially difficult for your mom, dad and TJ. If you get a chance, brush by them with your angel wings and let them know that you are never far away from them– I know that will make them smile. Loving you forever, until we are together again, Aunt Sheryl
My little Jacquie Hirsch, Happy Birthday today. We were all so very uncertain of this difficult day. I will spend it giving out “Jacquie balloons” to children at the gym, on to Roswell to give my blood for someone in need, some of your beautiful bears to children on peds -extending them hope. As small as it was, you had me wrapped around your finger 24 years ago and in my heart forever. You would be so proud of Mom and TJ. Shine down on all of us and those who need you Jax. Don’t sleep in too late today, the phones in heaven will be ringing with Birthday wishes for you. I miss you so much Jax !!!
Sharon, Torey, & T.J. Just wanted to write to remind you that I am always thinking of you and of course my friend Jacquie! As everyone is, I’ve been thinking of her a lot lately. But also of you three. I wish I was closer to you physically so that I could support you, but know that my heart is with you. Happy Birthday JAX!<3Pauline
Sharon, Torey , and TJ, I think of you every day, but I know that tomorrow will be another extremely difficult day to get through, and you have been in my thoughts even more so. What is one to say? There are no words. I said a prayer for all of those that love and miss Jacquie so much. I prayed for a sign from her for all of those that need to know that she is with them. It would be a wonderful sign to see a rainbow tomorrow. I know there is nothing I can do other than think about all of you. It is a terribly helpless feeling. Have faith that Jacquie walks with you every day. She would never dessert you. You were always there to be by her side, and although your vision is clouded with such deep sorrow, I am certain that she is with you. When you are ready, she will share a sign of her presence with you. It doesn’t bring her back to you in the way that you want, but you will find some comfort in knowing that she will always be with you. I pray for this time to come so you may find some relief in your sorrow. In the mean time, tomorrow is the celebration of Jacquie’s life. Although I am certain it will be a most difficult day, I know that Jacquie will be smiling down upon you with that big beautiful smile that she so easily shared. My loving thoughts to all of you, Jennifer
Tomorrow is your birthday jax, and i just want you to know that i’ll be celebrating the best way i know how- with a smile on my face, and tinkerbell in my heart miss you and love you<3
Dear Jacquie, I’m finding these days get harder and harder since the last time I saw your smile, heard your laugh or felt your touch. I miss you more and more as we get further apart. I hope you are proud of me and all that we are doing. Nothing is the same without you and I want you know that I love you more than life itself. Please keep looking after us. We all could use some better spirits on those wings of yours. Take Care my angel. I miss you and I love you.
Jax, The warm weather reminds me of those days during finals week that we played outside of Niagara, Ontario, and 65 as we avoided studying for our exams. There was always a little bit of Arbor Mist, a lot of laughs, and a heck of a good time. I miss you so much. This week has been especially hard knowing that our birthday is right around the corner. This will be the first birthday since I’ve met you that I will not receive a birthday message from you and I will not be able to call you to wish you a happy birthday. I will be sure to break out the soco & lime because I know that you will be with me! Love you twin!

Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. I like this quote, I hope you do too 🙂 Happy belated birthday Jax, forever and always believing. -Natalie M.
