Dear Hirsch Family – I am like countless others who never met Jacquie but prayed for her every day. I felt a bond to her through SDT sisterhood, even though we were strangers. My heart breaks for your family, but I believe Jacquie accomplished on this Earth what she was meant to do. It is very apparent that she has touched the lives of so many people, and will continue to do so in the future. Although I am saddened that she lost her fight, I will continue to be inspired by Jacquie every day and will remember her always.
To ALL those loving, caring family and friends….Jacquie left behind… Words can never express the sadness..Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with ALL of you today and tomorrow and always…losing a child isn’t the way Life is suppose to be…you have experienced one of the greatest losses of a lifetime…but now her fight is over…her body is whole…her pain is gone,,,and she is FINALLY cancer free…if you BELIEVE in eternal Life with God our Heavenly Father…she has truely gone to a better place…Let that bring you comfort…LET GOD FILL YOU “ALL” WITH HIS PEACE…Jaxs has peace now…so let your memories of her FLOW…tell story after story of how she lived her life….sweet, loving teaching memeories…of how to live EACH day like it’s your last here on earth…Loving and caring for one another…Ist commandment “LOVE YOUR LORD GOD FIRST…and then…LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR LIKE YOURSELF” It is sure that when Jacquie met Jesus the words of “WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT” were spoken…You all have so much to be proud of her for…in Living and in her departure from this world…YOU CAN REST ASSURED THAT GOD”S PROMISE IS TRUTH…YOU WILL SOMEDAY BE TOGETHER…if you BELIEVE in Jesus Christ… May these words be of comfort…. Sharon, Torey & TJ, Our hearts are broken and words cannot adequately express our condolences to all of you. We Believe that Jacquie WAS the Miracle. She was beautiful inside and out, a blessing to all who had the opportunity to see that incredible smile or be touched by her kindness. Over the past 11+ months, she has taught us so much about having strength, courage and determination; but most importantly, about selflishness. Even as she faced uncertainty, she still showed compassion & caring for others. You must be so proud of her. Torey, Sharon & TJ, we want to thank you for keeping us informed through the updates; we are truly grateful for that. Your love for each other & family has been an inspiration and a tribute to Jacquie’s life. We know that Jacquie is at peace now, but you are suffering unbelievably. We pray that you will find some comfort and peace in knowing how much of an impact Jacquie had & continues to have on so many lives. You are in our hearts and prayers always. With our deepest sympathy & love, Warren, Nancy, Adam, Josh & Jenna.
there are not many words that i can find right now that feel right. but this passage from the Little Prince helped console me after my father’s passing, and I find it is once again helping me with Jacquie’s. And Torey, TJ, Sharon, Sheryl, Brie, and the rest of the extended Hirsch clan… I hope it consoles you a little as well. The love I feel for all of you is indescribable. “When you look up at the sky at night, since I’ll be living on one of them, since I’ll be laughing on one of them, for you, it’ll be as if all the stars are laughing. And when you’re consoled, you’ll feel like laughing with me. And you’ll open your windows sometimes just for the fun of it and your friends will be amazed to see you laughing while you’re looking up at the sky. Then you’ll tell them, ’Yes, it’s the stars. They always make me laugh!” – The Little Prince Now to my beautiful Jacquie, although I am having trouble finding the words to say to you right now, I know in my heart of hearts, that you understand and know just what you mean to me. The world truly is a better place because of you. You will be missed more than I can even explain, but I know that you will live on in ALL of our hearts… laughing with us, smiling with us. I love you Tink, you have forever changed me. Infinite amount of love to the Hirsch family, and to all of Jacquie’s countless fans<3 delisha <3YOU WILL ALLWAYS BE IN MY HEART & ON MY MIND FOREVER & EVER & EVER
Dear Torey, TJ, and Sharon Though I can not say I have felt what you have all felt, I can say everyone is here for you, and proud of all of you and jax for what you have all endured. I am so blessed to have known such a great person and teacher alike and will miss her dearly. We are praying for all of you. Love, Morgan Kissel
The Hirsch Family,I did not personally know Jacquie other than the random passing on campus here and there, but I want you to know how much her story has touched my life. I would read her updates from time to time, and every time I did it reminded me of the importance of not taking any thing, any moment for granted. Jacquie is such an inspiration to not only people who knew her, but all of us who unfortunately did not. You must be so proud to have had such a truly amazing person with such a big heart in your family. I’ll always keep her story in the back of my mind and remind myself to live life to the absolute fullest and not to dwell on the little mis-happenings in life. Her big brother could not have written a more beautiful message today. I would like to thank you for sharing her story with all of us, it has touched more people than you will ever know. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Sharon, Torey and TJ, Jacquie’s courage and strength as she battled her illness is a testament to the love and support that you gave her. We have all been inspired by the Hirsch family and hope that now we can provide that same love and support to all of you. Let the love of others and the light shining from Jacquie’s star help you through this sad time. All our love, Ginny, Jim, Matt and Sara
Dear Hirsch Family We have been following Jacquie this past year through our Daughter Kristin. They were friends and sorority sisters at Geneseo. We are just so sorry for all Jacquie and you her parents and brother have had to endue this past year. As a parent I can only imagine the sorrow of losing your beautiful daughter. ow Please know you have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Its times like these when we search for answers but after reading what TJ wrote we must believe in hope and goodness. WE are far from Buffalo but please know that people here on Long Island are thinking and praying for Jacquie and her family. Livia and Joe Allen

Dear Sharon, Torey and TJ: We are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts broke as we learned of the passing of your beautiful daughter and sister. Jacquie will continue to be an inspiration to all of us. We will always remember her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She made everyone around her happy! We know she was welcomed into heaven with open arms and is now looking over all of us. She was so lucky to have such a wonderful family who loved her and supported her and took so much pride in all of her accomplishments. She is a wonderful teacher. We all have learned many valuable lessons from her. May Jacquie’s memory fill your hearts with love and give you the strength you need to get through the difficult days ahead. We believe that the memories of all the wonderful times spent together with Jacquie will ease the sorrow you feel today. Our deepest sympathy to you all. May Jacquie rest in peace. You are forever in our prayers. With love, Athena, Alan, Adriana and Stephanie
The Hirsch Family,While the words of so many can’t bring back what you have lost, hopefully they will offer you some comfort and peace. Thank you for raising such an amazing person who we all grew to know and love. And will continue to love and remember. You all fought so hard and your strength and love as a family was an incredible thing to witness. You will all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.Jacquie, “Fly, fly little wing. Fly beyond imagining. The softest cloud, the whitest dove. Upon the wind of heaven’s love.Past the planets and the stars. Leave this lonely world of ours.Escape the sorrow and the pain and fly again.Fly, fly precious one. Your endless journey has begun.Take your gentle happiness, far too beautiful for this.Cross over to the other shore. There is peace forevermoreBut hold this memory bittersweet, until we meet.Fly, fly do not fear.Don’t waste a breath, don’t shed a tear.Your heart is pure, your soul is free.Be on your way, don’t wait for me.Above the universe you’ll climb. On beyond the hands of time. The moon will rise, the sun will set, but I won’t forget…”
To My Loving Family:I love you all so much and I know how hard this is for all of us. What Jacquie would want is for us to stay together and help eachother out through this difficult time. We will heal…in time. And we must honor Jacquie in continuing to support bone marrow drives, benefits, donating platelets/blood, etc. TJ got it, he figured it out for all of us to understand, and it makes sense. Tink will forever live in our hearts and continue to teach everyone she touches, the value of life! I’m so proud of you, TJ. Thank you so much for sharing your last moments with Jacquie with all of us. Everyone stay strong. We are truly an amazing family. To Jacquie: I will never forget every second we shared together. The next time we see eachother, I promise to bring the chicken wing dip! You will forever be the backbone in this family and we will miss you dearly! You are a very special person who touched the lives of thousands. I will never meet anyone as strong or as determined as you! I love you with all my heart =>)
Dear TJ, Sharon and Tory, We can not tell you how much we feel for you. Just one year ago, I lost my sister to breast cancer. Our family had gone through the similar journey with her for two years – chemo, surgery, radiation and all sorts of trying. In the end, we knew my sister was in a better place and was more comfortable. We totally understand TJ’s messages to all of us. Jax had a beautiful life and had a wonderful family. My daughter remembers her as a great consulor at her summer camp one year ago. Jax has touched people’s life, and taught us how to appreciate each day. We are so proud of you to have a great daughter and a great family filled with love!
Hirsch Family: I can not even begin to say how much I feel your pain. I love Jacquie and many others did too. We will never forget her, and we will miss her. Jacquie was tired, and she has come a long way. Now she is in a better place, because God knew that it would be better. Sometimes what is better for us is not better for the actual person struggling. And though we would have loved for her to keep going, it would have made her more tired, and it would be a sad ending. She left us in peace, but even then she hasn’t left us. She will always live on……
Dear Sharon, Torey, TJ, and to all Jacquie’s family and close friends,We have you in our thoughts and prayers. We were blessed to know Jacquie.Much Love, The Dressels
Even though it is too late for her to get this, we love you Jacquie, and will forever. You are the most inspirational person who I have ever met in my life, and you live on within our hearts. We belived in Jacquie, and still believe, because she has left us to teach us something, that we need to live life to the fullest. Jacquie wanted to be a teacher, and in a way, she was. She taught us life lessons that I, and I’m sure everyone else, will never forget. We love you Jacquie, forever.
Dear Sharon, Torey and TJ, We are sooo sorry to hear of your loss. Jax put up the greatest fight we have ever known of. It is amazing to know that Jacquie’s life made such a difference to so many other lives in this world. She has taught us all so much and we know you are so proud of her. Losing someone so dear to you is tough as we know when we lost our father, but heaven is lucky to have gained such an amazing angel! She will be with you every day and you will feel it, trust all of us here at the Gage house. If you guys need anything at all please let us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this enormously difficult time. Love, The Gage’s
Dear Tory, Sharon, and T.J., My heart breaks for you. Please know, there are no words to express how very sorry we are. Please, if there is anything we can do, let us know. Praying for you. The Altieri Family
To the Hirsch Family: There are no words to express my sympathy for your family. No words that will ever take away the pain that you have felt while your baby had gone thru her fight against that terrible, horrible illiness we all know as cancer. I hope that your family and friends will help you thru this sad and heartbreaking time. I did not know Jacquie personally, only thru your website and my daughter, Jennifer. May you be surrounded by loving family and good friends, may you let your family and friends be there for you and most of all know that your daughter changed the world by showing people that the most important thing in life is that we care, love and enjoy our family and friends . May God bless your child and keep her safe. Fondly Judy Ramsey-Owens
Hirsch Family- I wanted to tell you all…that I meet the strongest family in the world last night…I saw where Jacquie got her smile and her strength…It came straight from you all…In pain you showed me yours in your hugs and smiles…While my heart breaks for the 3 of you and all your extended family…her friends and sisters…. I then stop and smile because I think of the celebration that surely went on and on last night in heaven…. Jacquie’s angel day, I am certain was a celebration… Brooks and I saw one star on our way home and then suddenly several…I told Brooks I was sure if was Jacquie shinning out bright already and showing us, see I have all these friends…. Again, please know that my thoughts and prayers stay with you now…I am so extremely sorry….. Hugs and Smiles- Brooks’ Family
My dear sweet cousin Jacquie,I miss you more than you will ever know. You are one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. I know that you did what was best for you and I understand. With time our family will heal but our hearts will always miss and love you. I hope where ever you are now you are not in pain and you are laughing with a big plate of food. I’ve never met anyone that could eat like you. I will promise you one thing… Olivia will know ALL the stories about her wonderful cousin. She will know how beautiful you were, how you could light up a room with your smile and how contagious your laugh was. That will be my gift to her. I can’t promise I won’t cry or be sad when I tell her these stories but I have to take comfort that you are where you want to be now and that is what matters. No one deserves to endure the pain that you did for 11 long months. But you are a fighter… that’s just who are. I love you SO SO much . Thank you for everything you have given to me. For standing up in my wedding, for making me laugh, for all the Pedro jokes, for your amazing zest for life and for being my cousin. Thank you. You will always be in my heart and thoughts forever. I love you.
Hirsch Family, I am deeply saddened for all of you, but very appreciative of Jax lesson to all of us. I will pray for strength for all of you and know that you will always be in our hearts! You are an amazing family and will get through this.
The Hirsch Family,I never truly got to know any of you very well. I went to Greater Buffalo for about 3 years when I was younger and I will always remember Jacquie and TJ showing us their routines which they would be doing in competition I believe. Later in life, I was in high school for one year with Jacquie and I will always remember seeing her smile in the hallways, you could never find her alone, she always had so many friends. Her challenge has touched so many people, including me.May angels lead you in and may you forever rest in peace. You will never be forgotten but will always be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all always,Cassey Stallman
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to appreciate beauty and to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. Ralph Waldo Emerson. We never actually met at Geneseo, but in such a small town it’s hard not to have overlapping social circles and mutual friends. You were in more people’s prayers than you know, and we were all fighting for you. Your story and your journey has touched so many people’s lives, your will and determination give us all strength and teach us to never take a day for granted. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
Dear Hirsch Family I heard of Jacquie’s passing this morning from my daughter…As I logged on to the website today, almost afraid to read the words…what I found instead comforted and inspired…TJ, Jacquie was blessed to have you as a big brother, just as you were blessed to have her as a little sister. I BELIEVE that she has taught us ALL a lesson. I BELIEVE that she has brought us ALL closer together, strangers..friends…and family. I BELIEVE Jacquie was a GREAT TEACHER…I BELIEVE that Jacquie was blessed to have Sharon and Torey as her parents..just as they were blessed to have Jacquie as their daughter…I BELIEVE in the power of love…I BELIEVE that Jacquie has touched my life in ways you do not know…I BELIEVE that her spirit will live on forever
To all the Hirsch family, You all have fought such a couragious battle and this is by far the hardest thing now to have to go through I am sure but just know she is not suffering she is up there now watching over you. These next few days will be hard but just know she will be right by your side guiding you and helping you. She was an inspiration to many people and will continue to be. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
for all who loved you here on earth i cry…. soar my dear girl, knowing how much you have and will continue to touch our lives. to your brother, whose magnificant words brought comfort, to your mother and father who fought so hard for you, to your grandparents your aunts, uncles and cousins who love you so, to all the friends who will miss you all their lives, i am so sorry. your star will hang in the tree where we put it, always. i see your smile and i smile. love, aunt val
Dearest Sharon, Torey & TJ~ I am so saddened to hear the news this morning. There aren’t any words to describe the sorrow. I only knew Jaquie when she was just a little baby, and you brought her in her “nip-nap” and I brought my son along, too, while we taught Wmsvl. Community Ed. gymnastic classes. Those were the good ol’ days. I’m not sure why God has chosen you and your family to endure this sadness, but through reading all your website entries, I have learned what a remarkable family you are. I wish I could help you in some way. May time ease your pain. I hope to see you real soon. Please take care of yourselves. God Bless.
Torey,Sharon, and T.J. Iam so sorry words cannot express how you feel. Dear the Hirsch family, My heart is breaking for you. Even though I never met Jacquie, I know that she was a beautiful person, inside and out. She will always be with you. Never forget that. She will always inspire us all, no matter where we are. I have been deeply touched by your story and your strength. I will forever remember you all. May God bless you all, Susan, Liverpool, England
Dear Torey, Sharon & TJ, After an evening of prayer for you and your family last night, I woke this morning to look at my favorite picture on my wall of “Footprints in the Sand”. It brought to mind how God has been carrying Jacquie throughout the last 11 months. He will be there now to carry you and your family in the days ahead. There are a new set of footprints for Jacquie. These are not one set of footprints but two that are criss-crossing. For now she is dancing with our Lord. Jacquie has and will continue to touch so many lives. She along with your family are truly an inspiration for us all. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. Joyce, Joe, Lindsay & Andrew
Our most sincere condolences to Jacquie’s family on the loss of such a strong young woman. We’ve never met Jacquie, but as a member of the gymnastics community, we came to know of her fight against cancer through an online forum. Like many others, we hoped for positive updates and prayed for a miracle recovery.Very sad tonight to read that Jacquie lost a hard fought battle, but imagine she would be so proud to know that even in the last week, she has inspired many to join the donor registry. Our thoughts remain with you all.
I was shocked and sad to hear the news–I never knew Jacquie but was a fellow member of a greek organization just like her. I had been following her updates and was praying for her and her family. May God comfort you all during this difficult time and know that my thoughts are with you.
TJ (uncle TJ for short), Sharon & Torey, I woke up this morning and I knew Tink was in a better place, as if she came to me in my sleep and told me she was the lucky one. It is the ones she leaves behind that are saddened by her passing. I try not to be selfish and understand that this was her time, God needed her more than we did here on earth. A friend of mine’s nephew is being baptized today, he would be so lucky to have such a beautiful angel to guide and teach him, as she has taught all of us. I cannot explain how I feel for you and your family right now, I can only believe that God has a plan for all of us and he must have really needed Jacquie otherwise he wouldn’t have taken her from such a wonderful, inspirational and loving family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. <3 Katie
Dear Hirsch Family, Please accept the warm and loving wishes and sincere sympathy from yet another believer in Jacquie’s fight that you do not even know. I came to know your story from a fellow nurse, and have been following along with your family ever since. We came in to give platelets, and felt it was the very least we could do. I am a mom and sister, and have no words for the heartbreak you are going through, but can only tell you that the strength and wisdom you have shown through this site has inspired so many of us to try and live life the way your family has, and I know for a fact through your struggle, you have changed more than one life, mine being one. Please accept our sympathy during this really difficult time. Jen & Don Stoeckel
Dear Hirsch family, Like you must have done so many times, we too struggle with the “why question”-all too often. As much as it hurts, I take comfort when told by others that God does not give us things we are not strong enough to handle. Like Jacquie’s strength-the strength of your family serves as an example for those of us who continue the fight. Please know that we think of you this day and will borrow your strength on the days to come. The Colligan Family
Sharon, Torey and TJ, My thoughts and prayers are with you, as they have been for the past 11 months. Even though I never met Jacquie, I got to know your beautiful daughter through you and I hope the strength that you have had through these last 11 months, and memories of your beautiful daughter and sister see you through now. She, and you, have made a lasting impression in my life … as TJ wrote, she will continue to teach us all. Lily, Jack and I send you our love.
God saw that your dearest Jackie needed to rest and took her home to heal her. I cannot find the words to let you know just how sorry I am for your entire family. We all believed in the Miracle,God just decieded that he needed her in Heaven more than we needed her here on earth. You will be together again in paradise, Jackie will watch over you and always be here with you. My thoughts and prayers continue with you at this difficult time. God Bless.
Dear Hirsch Family, My heart is with all of you. I will remember Jacquie and her beautiful smile forever. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with her and every day that I walk in to my classroom at North I will see her shining face for it has forever lit up my room! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Cindy Wolfe
Dear Torey, TJ, and Sharon, As I walk by the wheat field this morning, there are no tracks, Jacquie crossed it her way. She simply flew to the other side. This I will always Believe. Our lives have been forever changed by Jacquie’s. Thank you for your beautiful daughter and sister. God Bless all of you, Harry, Penny, Nicole, Jason, Casey, Sean, and Jennifer.

Jacquie has a message for you ALL…. Keep my menory with you, For memories NEVER die, I will be with YOU, When you look across the sky, I will be there in the clouds, In the birds that fill the air, In the beauty of a fragrant rose, You will find my memory there, You will feel me in the tenderness of a tiny baby’s touch, You will hear me if you listen, In the twilights gentle hush. When your heart is heavy, and you feel that you are alone: Just reach down deep inside YOU…For YOUR HEART IS NOW MY HOME….I will ALWAYS be with you…I WILL NEVER GO AWAY….FOR I WILL LIVE ON IN YOUR HEART….FOREVER AND A DAY….until we meet again…

God Bless.
